The rise and the fall of Chinese Dance.

In year-end 2006, we started our trainings for SYF 2007,
chang chou zhi wu. we practised for hours for alternate days.
i missed the times with seniors.
that dance, wa all new to the whole dance.
and no fans were allowed because it will affect our props.
i rmb=ed the V shaped most vividly, we practise and practise
from a V to a ^. that was also the year we first participate in SYF as central judging of Dances(Chinese Dance). i guess i was still innocent or noob u may want to call it.
the only thing i know is to get that peice of cloth out of me and smile :D
as SYF days got nearer, i wasn't as nervous as this year
i slept well and even have to mood to eat sandwiches on the car. :D
feel so guilty cos i know how exactly the seniors felt

then, i would sit there and wait for winnie to bun my hair.
stella to pin my toushi, xueyan to eyeshadow me, laoshi to draw eyebrows, ms tan to do my blusher (oh no !) and finally lipstick myself. (:

On the stage
i saw nothing but pieces of cloth
next moment, i was panting
next, out of the stage.
felt nothing no tears, only heard that it was very nice.
went back to school normal, not knowing the releasing of results.
it all happened in the canteen during recess when they type.
SYF results:
Chinese Dance : gold with... and we screamed!

in year end 2007, we already had our 2009 SYF dance
ji dong zhi wu. but then the population was only the present sec 4s and sec 3s.
by 2008 mid year, we included the sec 2s. and we trained
morning practices everyday from feb.
same old place with the same old practice
but i am standing right at the front instead with the group.
a sudden realisation that i am a senior now.

we practised hard too isn't it? the dance was so damn tiring.
no one can fully understand unless they danced.
i didn't switched on the fans too right? bcos i want you dancers to feel the hard work we put in and be happy that at least for SYF, there's air-con and we would performed better.
we sweat and we cried. luckily we drank lots of water to replace them. :D
we did cheers and i'm glad that chinese dance juniors are so enthu and passionate for dance!

as SYF got nearer, i was damn nervous, keep walking to my bag to check if i had missed anything out. when i close my eyes, i would think about costumes, makeups and tou shis.
when the day finally arrived, i dint sleep well.
i hardly have the mood to eat my bread, i was rushing to meet dancers.
so i would at least have a companion of the same boat, at least its more secure.
now in 2009,
i helped to tie pony tail, pin toushi and spray hair
lucky i nvr help to put makeup or else. suree...
on the stage, i was so damn nervous , cautiously looking arnd to see if anyone drop their shabu
thanks for comforting me dancers, i am so happy to continue to dance.
next moment, ending pose
next moment, we went out crying with tears of joys.
first time, no one drop shabu, denyse broke the 3 times curse and i saw my juniors fully enjoying the dance, minimal mistake and i could really feel the "ji dong"

2009, we waited for our results.
we all pinned our hopes on gold and gold with...
but it was a SILVER.
we all cried, we just couldn't understand why.


although the results were not we wanted, we left no regrets.really none
regardless it's for the graduating sec fours or the only sec threes. really none. i can assure you. we really did our best. our fall lies on the judges, their stupidity. well, at least many professionals felt unfair for us. we ought to deserve more.

but for me, i feel that i had deserve more than enough, the passion for dance i saw in juniors.
the bonds that i could never see in other ccas. really, chinese dance to me is the best in nchs,
the best gift i can ever receive, the best experience i have in my entire lifespan and of cos the BEST of the BEST.
simply bcos Chinese Dance is my life.


Thank you for joining Chinese Dance, u made me saw the exact passion for life, you all are my best juniors !! I LOVE CHINESE DANCE !
be strong girls, we'll face it together.

everything has both sides ; negative and positive.
juniors and pals, it is how we viewed it.
laoshi say don think abt getting honours,
u may have 2 diff thinking
1. we are hopeless
2. she is trying to motivate us to push our limits

would u dwell on the first.
actually, the honours doesnt matter to me nor the gold.
what matters is that, we work as a team, as a dance as a whole
seeing you dancers putting ur upmost efforts.
despite our rantings u gave us your understanding.
what matters is the trust, faith and love within us.
the unbreakable bonds we hold for each other and
lastly the passion for dance.

so to my beloved juniors, don lose hope.
we have not yet compete so why be so certain abt the outcome
life is full of possibilities. what is impt that is to leave the stage gracefully
in hand with no regrets.
dont lose hope cos dancers don lose to themselves.

the least we could do is to trust ourselves and give our very best.
girls, i believe in you cos I LOVE YOU!!

yea well, it has been quite a while since i posted.
hmm recently. good friday, we went to UCC at NUS for SYF rehearsals.
it was like damn deep, but not wide enough.
lightings are impressive !
k well, now many parts need more refining.
it's only about 8 more days away from SYF
everybody buck up, i know it may be very sian, very irritating and very tired of our
" na sha bu " but once these 8 days are over, i can assure you that you will never hear it from us ever again. so bear this little imperfections.
and pls let us spend our last 8 days with you ppl smiling and leaving with us happy memories.
after that u can complain till you happy. [:
let's work hard once and for all for this SYF cos GOLD WITH HONOURS IS OURS.





meanwhile, i am actually wondering who will read it, so post for posting sake.
alright, enough with dance. :D
that friday too, we went to marina barrage !
it's is very nice, good spot for class outing too !
and what's more the gallery is so cool and there's kayak rental !!


last but not least, i am using this post to thank those who wished me happy birthday!
maybe this would be last year you'd wishing me but i alrdy contented,
and to thank for being my fren for the last four years,
without any one of you, i know my secondary sch life 'll not be that enjoying and sastifying.
so again, thank you for appearing in my youth and trust me, you do make a difference.
you do, at least to me.
